Diadora Verona Bench Coat from soccerpro.com

I could tell this was a top quality coat even before I put it on. It looks great straight out of the packaging, the main colour (a smooth looking black/charcoal) set off nicely by red piping and the distinctive Diadora badge. I couldn't wait to try it out!

I got the chance to wear it for the first time today - a cold, windy November morning with the occasional burst of rain. Lovely football weather!

The first thing you notice about this coat is the warm fleecy lining. The length (mine finished about half way between my knee and waist) was great and it has zipped pockets everywhere. The cuffs fit nice and snug and the hood stayed put even in the teeth of the wind.

As far as durability goes, obviously I can't say just yet. But the coat is clearly very well made and I would be surprised if it didn't last a couple of seasons at least.

Verdict: I spent about two hours outdoors today. My players' mums and dads were shivering on the sidelines but I can honestly say I have never felt warmer. The Diadora Verona is a top quality bench coat at an amazingly good price. Highly recommended.

Torre pant

Diadora Torre Pant from soccerpro.com

I wore the matching Torre pant with the Diadora bench coat. One of my U10 girls came straight up to me and said - "you're looking very fashionable today!" And I had to agree - these Torre pants do look very good. They have a tailored feel - the legs taper towards the ankles and the waist is high. The calf area is covered by a breathable membrane which looks good and provides useful ventilation.

Like the bench coat (above) these pants are very warm and comfortable. They kept the rain and wind out and I was very glad I wore them today.

Verdict: These are extremely good pants. Fashionable (ask my U10s!), good looking and very comfortable. The quality is usual Diadora (brilliant). They would make an ideal Christmas present for the coach in your life! You can buy them (and see all the other good value pants from soccerpro.com) right here.
